Dianne Miller introduced the Pilates method to Canada in 1984.  She has been active for more than twenty years in preserving the integrity of the work and in raising teaching standards in the field.  She is the founder of the Dianne Miller Pilates Teacher Education Program in Vancouver, Canada.

 

Dianne Miller started her Pilates training with Ron Fletcher in the 1970’s.  During the 1980’s, she completed study intensives with Romana Kryzanowska and Carola Trier, while continuing to train with Ron Fletcher.  In the 1990’s, she furthered her studies with Eve Gentry, Kathy Grant, and Jean Claude West.  She continues to study with Mary Bowen, Ron Fletcher, Kathy Grant, and collaborates with Deborah Lessen and Michele Larsson on theoretical issues in teaching the Pilates method.

 

Dianne Miller continues to provide leadership and vision for Pilates professionals through her involvement with the Pilates Method Alliance, the international not-for-profit organization for the Pilates method.  She has been active in this organization since its inception, and is the first Canadian to serve on its Board of Directors.
