Lisa Marie is an
international Master Trainer of the
GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®
as well as a
GYROKINESIS®
Master Trainer
and a certified Master Trainer of all
GYROTONIC®
Specialized
Equipment and specialized workshops.
She was introduced to
GYROTONIC®
body conditioning during her career as a professional
ballet dancer. As a dancer she performed nationwide with
various companies such as the San Francisco Ballet,
Cleveland Ballet, LA Classical Ballet and Helios Dance
Theatre, to name a few. Lisa Marie has practiced Pilates
for over 20yrs and became certified as a Pilates
instructor in 1992 under the tutelage of Marie-Jose
Blom-Lawrence at Long Beach Dance Conditioning (LBDC)
where she co-managed the studio for 7yrs and conducted
some certifications for LBDC. For deeper anatomical
studies she also mentored with Marika Molnar and
Jean-Claude West.
1995 to 2006:
Lisa Marie founded her own
company, White Crane Movement Arts, from which she has
been running a successful movement program and teacher
training courses for over 10 years.
She was Director of the Children's Division of Long
Beach Ballet Arts Center and has set up Pilates and
GYROTONIC®
studios for ballet schools and companies. Lisa
Marie was a co-owner of LA Body Kinetics and directed
Angel City Body Kinetics’
GYROTONIC®
program with Marie-Jose Blom. Between 2000 and 2005 Lisa
Marie is was part time faculty at Loyola Marymount
University as a teacher of classical ballet and
established a
GYROKINESIS® for dancers class.
Current:
Lisa Marie founded In-Spiraling Movement Arts with her
husband Jessie Rice. She continues to travel extensively
internationally conducting courses for the
GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®.
She also teaches specialized seminars focusing on injury
prevention for dance schools and institutes such as
California Institute for the Performing Arts, Pasadena
Ballet, and the Joffrey Ballet. She is currently in her
third year of Medical Chi-Gong, combines healing with
essential oils, and continues to embrace with grace and
light the development of her studies in her career as a
movement educator.
