Lisa Marie is considered as one of the internationally authorized Master Trainers of the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and GYROKINESIS® in all respects including the Specialized equipment. She was introduced to these unique systems during her career as a professional ballet dancer and through her experience as a Pilates teacher trainer instructor. As a ballerina she performed all over the country in various companies beginning at San Francisco Ballet and then eventually was given the opportunity to become a Pilates instructor under the tutelage of Marie-Jose Blom-Lawrence at Long Beach Dance Conditioning where she managed the studio for 7yrs.

She founded her own entity, White Crane Movement Arts, in which she has been running a successful healing and movement practice, including teacher training courses, for the past ten years. She was co-owner of LA Body Kinetics and is now co-director of the new Angel City Body Kinetics with Marie-Jose Blom-Lawrence and is on staff at Loyola Marymount University teaching ballet.

She has traveled extensively all over the world conducting courses for the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and Pilates and has taught numerous specialized seminars focusing on injury prevention for ballet schools and institutes such as California Arts Institute, Inland Pacific Ballet, and Pasadena Ballet. She was Director of the Children’s Division of Long Beach Ballet Arts Center and has set up Pilates and GYROTONIC® studios for ballet schools and businesses. She is currently in her third year of Medical Chi-Gong in which she enjoys the continual discovery and integration of the healing arts.
