The Body Whole

2-Day Pre-Conference
created by Madeline Black

The pre-conference focus is working with the body as a complete entity rather than a being of separate parts and looking at the areas in detail with a relationship
to the body whole.

How we focus our attention on the body gives the teacher information about what movement potential is available for that person and how we will approach working with them.  Our choices may be limited or unrestricted. What are the choices? How do you choose the starting point and what direction does the flow of the session go? Even if a teacher is following a traditional sequence, within that sequence are choices to enhance the movement potential within that system. The answers arrive from a balance between the understanding of the body that includes a knowledge base of kinesiology, the process of sense and perception and the movement system we are teaching.
