Pilates as an Effective Tool for Rehabilitation of the Shoulder

Class Description:

Pilates has the unique ability to create muscle balance the

  shoulder girdle. Traditional conditioning and rehabilitation

   programs often place the emphasis on one component of

  muscle balance at a time, such as pectoral flexibility or

  rotator cuff strength. Pilates exercises are whole-body and

  functional in nature, they not only create flexibility, but

  strength and endurance in the opposing muscles at the

  same time. This allows the patient to immediately use the

  new range of motion.  This four hour workshop will teach
