Category:  Pilates

INSTRUCTOR:  John Garey

Class Description:

Explore how altering the angle of resistance (height) can assist with balance, proprioceptively stimulate the neuromuscular system, and provide support during standing, kneeling and lunging exercises. Find out how altering the angle of resistance and the versatility of one machine can target completely different stabilizing muscles – and cater to varying body mechanics.

Using the V2 Max Plus™ Reformer’s adjustable pulley system we can facilitate and expand any existing Reformer repertoire. This machine allows for increased range of motion in tri-planar movements and additional support as needed through the full range of hip, shoulder and spinal movement.

Learning Objectives:
1. Apply the STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles to specific exercises on the V2 Max Plus Reformer.
2. Learn how varying angles of resistance help enhance muscular firing patterns..
