Class Description:
I view Pilates as an intricate and intimate exploration of human movement, encompassing body, mind and spirit. The three panal components of human movement and specifically Pilates are tremendously exciting and offer a path for a lifetime of exploration. It is this 3 dimensional component that makes the work functional, and is it not function that offers such attraction to Pilates in the first place? “Pilates is too linear and 2 dimensional”! This is a comment I have heard periodically over the years and more so recently, probably due the fact that so many more people are doing Pilates. Nothing could be further from the truth, and the comment clearly indicates lack of knowledge, experience or both. Pilates is a life long study and adventure and one that should involve both the understanding and practice of 3 planal movements. This workshop will take you into the magical world of the 3rd dimension utilizing new evolutionary Pilates apparatus designed by Rael in concert with Balance Body.
