PEAK
PILATES Barrel Basics Pre-Conference
1-Day Pre-Conference Intensive
April 11, 2007—8am to 5pm
Instructor: Colleen
Glenn
Times: 8am-12pm and 1
- 5pm
Three different barrels were created with the primary purpose
to correct spinal alignment and improve posture.
They are the High Ladder Barrel, Semi-circle Barrel and the
Spine Corrector. Generally,
the barrel exercises achieve this with movements that open the
chest, strengthen the Powehouse, lengthen the spine, increase
flexibility in the hips and both assist and challenge leg alignment
and placement. In this
eight hour workshop you will learn the history of the barrels, the
basic and beginner exercises, how to teach them and how to
incorporate them successfully into programming.
Spine Corrector small group classes ideas are also included.
Get straight on the invaluable Pilates apparatus.

FAQS |

Class
Selection is "real time", meaning that you are able to
immediately see the selections that you have made for classes and
print a confirmation of your class schedule. You can also
log-in at any time and make changes to your schedule. CLASS
SELECTION STARTS SEPTEMBER 1, 2006.
Catalogs will be mailed in September. If you would like a catalog
sent to you, please enter your information in our guestbook on our
home page.
Mail, Phone or Fax - When you mail, phone or fax your
registrations they will be manually input in the order in which they
arrive in our offices. Phone orders can be called in during
Monday - Wednesday from 9am to 4pm PST. We recommend that you use
our on-line system since this is the fastest way to guarantee your
early placement in classes. THIS STARTS SEPTEMBER 1st.
Observation of Classes - Due to the size of rooms we do not
have areas for class observation. It is our goal to make this
a quality event with classrooms that are filled only to the maximum
of allowed participants.
Equipment Classes - Class sessions with equipment will be
filled as follows: Three students per reformer, spine
corrector, ladder barrel, chairs, and wall-units/towers. Four per
piece of Gyrotonic®
equipment.
Workout
Classes - Morning & Evening "workout" sessions
(Sessions 1 & 4) will be limited to one equipment
"workout" per attendee during the 3-day conference.
This way everyone should have a chance to experience an equipment
"workout". There are plenty of floor work classes
being offered but only so much equipment available. You can
attend any "workshop" equipment sessions (Sessions 2 &
3) during the conference. Please understand that your schedule
will be adjusted if you sign up for more than one equipment workout
session.
Class Schedules - Please be aware that once you register
there is no guarantee that there will be availability in specific
classes. Classes are filled on a "first come, first
serve" basis. This especially applies to individuals that
sign-up in the few months prior to the conference with the
expectation of getting a specific class. We have a selection of over
250 classes, so there are plenty of great classes and wonderful
presenters to choose from.
Cancelled Class Policy - Occasionally there is a situation
where a class must be moved to a different time, day or cancelled
altogether. We will do our best to notify attendees in advance
of these changes. We will post changes on our website so
attendees will be aware and able to make the appropriate changes to
their schedules.
